It just seems like winter has gone on forever – even though there was some nice weather in February ~ I decided to try a few new rabbits this year to celebrate Springs final arrival! I wanted to use this old bobbin for something and it really works with this design. He did turn out really sweet! The rabbit is painted, stained and sanded cotton. He has applied eyes, a burlap nose and pinch-stitched mouth. The carrots are all hand painted with raffia for the tops. The bag is actually a piece of old canvas ~ I embroidered Carrots on it in brown thread and tied a piece of ticking around his neck.
This little fellow was such a joy to create. He is plush fabric aged and stained to look old. I originally made him holding the one strawberry then I thought it would look cute to give him a basket full of strawberries. He is the perfect size for a prim cabinet or shelf
This was my big project for the week! I love chicks and rabbits so this was such a joy to create. This is such a versatile display. The chick is standing on a spool so he is moveable. The rabbit’s carrot can be re-positioned as well as his tie around his neck ~ also his ears a wired and can be gently re-positioned as well. The base was pretty plain so I used paint to give it a distressed barn wood appearance
I am currently offering these cuties through April 23, 2017 on eBay
Until Next Time,
Springtime Blessings ~ Delilah
