Fall is almost here ~ wouldn’t this be a charming addition to your primitive Autumn collection. I used camel colored wool and a brown herringbone wool to create this lovely acorn make do. It stands 10 and 1/2 inches tall including the glass base. I painted the glass base to resemble rusty metal. I love these 3 miniature acorns ~ They are attached to the larger acorn. +All the feather stitching is brown pearl cotton
I found this cute little drawer at an estate sale and filled it with some prim sewing accessories. I put a small rectangular wool pincushion in the front of the drawer. The upper left section of the drawer holds a collection of fabric scraps. I always stain or dye a sample of fabric prior to using the fabric in a project. All the scraps in this drawer are actual samples from some of my previous Autumn and Halloween prim creations
The upper right section holds an old bottle of buttons with a fabric top, a skein of antique gold pearl cotton, some orange floss a spool and a little brown piece of felted wool.
As shown the drawer measures approximately 4 and 3/4 inches wide, 7 inches long and 2 and 1/4 inches tall. The handle on the front is off center
I used a pattern by Sassafras Hill for the acorn

Today I am offering a new sewing collection which was inspired by this beautiful dark cranberry leaf patterned cotton
I used this dark cranberry cotton to make both strawberries and the interior lining of the sewing roll. I also used a coordinating cranberry and black patterned check for the pockets and outer fabric of the sewing roll and a tan and black for the small rectangular pin keep
~I used black embroidery thread for all the decorative stitching~
There is tons of feather stitching on the large and small strawberries. I wanted the sewing roll to look as if the owner used it to practice decorative stitching so I used a combination of blanket stitching, chain stitches, stem stitches and more feather stitching to finish this unique set. I even added some outlining stitches to the leaves and scrolls in the fabric
There are so many ways you can display this set. The sewing roll has one regular pocket at the top and a gathered pocket on the bottom
As shown large strawberry measures approximately 8 inches tall, the rectangular pin keep is 3 x 5 inches, the small strawberry is 2 and 1/2 inches long and the sewing roll is 18 inches long and 6 inches wide
I used a pattern by Sassafras Hill for the large and the small strawberries the rest of the collection is of my own creation
This is a special one-of-a-kind offering that will not be repeated

~Today I am offering for you this prim old crow~
~If you are familiar with my work you know that I am a crow fanatic~
Crows are everywhere around where I live and they are always an inspiration in my work
~This pesky crow is all ready for fall~
I made this fella from painted and stained cotton. He is wearing a hat made from some old feed sack burlap and a scarf made from checked cotton. I tucked some preserved Sweet Annie under his wing
He will make a fun primitive addition to your old cupboard or even your front door
I made these sunflowers from painted and stained cotton
The crow is 21 inches long from top of his hat to the end of his tail. It is 13 inches wide at the widest point and the sunflowers are 4 and 1/2 inches in diameter. I made the crow from a pattern by Tennessee Ridge Primitives
He is a one-of-a-kind offering that will not be repeated this season so please bid early

~Pumpkin dolls can look so sweet and this little girl is no exception ~
She would be perfect for your primitive doll collection
I made this little pumpkin girl from cotton that I painted and distressed. Her eyes are small black beads and her nose and mouth are made from black felt that I hand-stitched in place. She has a real dried pumpkin stem attached to her head
Her dress is made from 2 different green cotton fabric – I used the large plaid for her dress and the small coordinating check for her collar and the turned under hem of her dress. She is holding a sunflower I made out of painted and stained cotton with some Sweet Annie pinned to the back.
This little girl measures 23 inches total height from top of the stem to her toes. She is 15 inches tall when sitting. Her sunflower is about 4 and 1/2 inches in diameter
You will most definitely look forward to displaying this little pumpkin girl year after year.
She was made using my own pattern ~ She is a one-of-a-kind creation that will not be repeated this season. Please click the link above for additional pictures and information

To begin my new season of Fall primitives I am offering this set of wool pin keeps
I made the pear out of a plaid wool in beautiful beige and brown tones. The stem is brown wool and the leaf is another plaid wool in tones of green
The pumpkin is made out of a nice burnt orange wool. The stem is the same wool plaid that I used for the pear and the leaf is also the same wool as the leaf on the pear. Picture to See Listing on eBayI love the size of these two – the pear is 15 and 1/2 inches tall and the pumpkin is 5 inches. I used brown floss for the feather stitching on the pear and the blanket stitching on the leaves
Both of these pin keeps would be a wonderful addition to your primitive pin keep or wool primitive collection
I used a pattern from Sassafras Hill for the pear – the pumpkin is my own design
