I can remember my grandmother’s pinkeep collection. They were all well worn, most were made of velvet in delicate colors and so soft and fragile. I just loved the shaped ones. The strawberries, apples, and even a pear. It was not until after my grandmother past that I realized that her collection was lost.
I made this acorn pinkeep from a Sassafras Hill pattern. I used osnaburg and wool and placed it on an old wooden candlestick. I stamped and hand colored the squirrel tag and added some feather stitching
It was a joy to make and a wonderful reminder of days spent at my grandmother’s side. Delilah
